I read Shelley's Frankenstein, about a year ago, and remember asking Perplexity.ai "how could such a young female author, particularly from her time period, have gained such insight into writing Frankenstein?!" I had bias that perhaps her older "editor" might have been heftily ghostwriting for his doey apprentice.

This is certainly a much better explanation than I was then-given. Losing a sibling is probably something I'll never experience, but having lost parents I can only imagine the grief to be "even worse."
